For this week we start answering the questions that were talked about in week 6. This will be the first week of these questions. 1. What week is it and how do you feel about the progress you have made over the course of this amount of time? It is now week 7, Over the course of the whole project id say we are a little behind but over the course of this week we gained a pretty good amount of progress. We got a lot done and also caught up on a few things. 2. What do you plan to do next week? Next week we plan on just making sure we are 100% caught up and we will get a good amount of running in. 3. What did you not get done this week that you wanted to do? We wanted to go run on a track again this week but we just didn't have time so hopefully we can do that soon. That's it for the questions, i am glad that we thought about that idea because by the end of the project that will really help show our progress. That's it for week 7.

For this week we didn't get a lot done but we did end up meeting up on Wednesday and running in Evan's neighborhood for about an hour. We are about half way through the project now and we are both starting to see a decent amount of progress. We have also decided that we are going to run a mile during week 7 since that is the middle of the project, we weren't sure if we were going to run in the middle of the project at first but we decided we would because it will show way more progress which will add up to running a mile on a track 3 times. All of those 3 times will be ran as some what of a race between me (Isaac) and Evan. Something new we are going to start doing in the blogs is we will answer 3 questions about our progress each week, and we will compare the questions we answer to the week before. The questions we will use for every week will be the exact same. 1. what week is it and how do you feel about the progress you have made over the course of this amount of time? 2. What do you plan to do next week? 3. What did you not get done this week that you wanted to do? That is it for the questions, we aren't answering the questions this week though. We will start answering those next week (week 7). That's it for week 6.
Surprisingly it is already week 5 and we are pretty close to being half way through the project. To be honest we are a little behind but we should be caught up by the end of next week. For this week we did not get much done we just ran on our own time in our neighborhoods but we also both had sports practices and we got a good amount of running from that. Next week we plan on thinking of a few new things to add to the project we aren't quite sure but we know it will be something along the lines of a new way to do the blogs or we might just add something else to the project itself like more running or a different schedule so we can get more done. We just thought about this idea because we feel like we are running out of things to put into the blog because we don't want to keep putting the same things in the blogs. And that is the last thing we want because we aren't even half way done with this project yet. I am hoping we will get something figured out soon. That's all for week 5, we should definitely get more done next week. This week was just hard to get stuff done because we both had busy schedules.
On Friday we were out of school with a teacher work day so we ran in my neighborhood for about an hour and we hydrated before and after. We are planning on going back to the YMCA next week so that we can continue running and improving our mile time while also improving our stamina and speed. This is gonna help us with out sports as well because both involve lots of running. Our goal is to reach under 6 minutes within the next week or two so that by the end of the project we will have our mile times at what we want them to be.
For this week we went to the YMCA to run a mile so that we will be able to compare the time that we run at the end of this project. Isaac's time for the mile was 8 minutes and 20 seconds and Evan's time was 9 minutes and 15 seconds. We were talking about running another mile on a track again in the middle of the project. We would still run a mile at the end but we think it would show our progress way better if we also ran in the middle of this project. We were going to upload pictures of our stats from the app run keeper but we couldn't figure out how to upload a picture from camera rollFor this week we both got in a good amount of running time from sports practices. We didn't get to run in our free time and track it. But we will definitely do that on week 3. For week 3 we have a goal to run at least 2 miles in our free time. 2 miles isn't a lot but we already do a lot of running from sports practices and the point of this project is to progress over time. For week 3 we plan on running in our neighborhoods and tracking our route and run time by the app run keeper. We plan on switching off each week on writing the blog post. This way it will be just a simple rotation.
We are still coming up with new ideas for our project at the moment. But so far we plan to run a mile on a track at the very beginning of this project and then we will go on jogs maybe 2-4 times a week in order to get faster. We will track how far we ran, where we ran and when we ran by using the app runkeeper. By doing this i can post my progress overtime. We chose this to be our project because we both play sports Evan plays football and Isaac plays lacrosse. We both want to be faster and build stamina for the sports we play because they both involve a lot of running. To make this project more interesting we will not just be getting faster and building stamina we will also be racing against each other. The way that will work is that we will compare our mile times in the beginning and by the end we will see who got faster from putting in the work of running each week.
